One option is an ellipsoid, like x²/4 + y²/4 + 5z²/36 = 1.
Can you create something even better?

Hi Chris,
Not sure what type of wrapping effect you are looking for. You can simply add a cone r = z + 3.5 which makes the egg appear to sit in some open wrapping.
