Modeling a Sinusoid: Regression is not working
I\'ve been trying to model a sinusoid to an x,y data set for a school project. Coincedentally, it is the exact same scenario and extremely similar data being used in my project as in the tutorial (modeling a tide).
I\'ve been using the method in the tutorial many times, of setting the constants, adjusting them to the data, and using "Best Fit to Data" while having the data points AND the graph selected, just as it said. However, time and again the regression has spit out values that are completely absurd. I\'m getting quite frustrated as the project is due in a few days. I\'d really appreciate any help. |

Re: Modeling a Sinusoid: Regression is not working
Dear windtitan,
Can you please confirm what version of Autograph you are using? We are aware of an issue with 3.3, which will be fixed in the next release. If you do have version 3.3 you will need to adjust the parameters manually to match your data. Sorry for the inconvenience. Simon |
