Text Not Showing Up

I downloaded the 30day trial (both min and med versions) and this error still appears. I cant see the numbers on the axis in the graphs, instead their just \'?\' for all the negative numbers. Also when Entering Equations, all the symbols for the equation are question marks ? as well. Oh and i have DirectX 9.0c installed already. And all DirectX tests have proved successful.

Oh in addition i do have some Chinese softwares installed but my Windows XP is English as well as settings...so this shouldnt have been a problem. IF it is, is there anyway to sort this out...need it for coursework...

Dear Lufen,

Please go to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options and Select "English (United Kingdom)" from the drop-down box.  Click OK and see if that makes any difference.

If not, go to Control Panel > Regional and Language Options and select the Languages tab and unselect "Install files for East Asian languages" (NOTE: you will need your XP CDs to reinstall these files!).

I expect this is a problem with the font not being Unicode (i.e. certain symbols are not in their standard positions).  In Version 3.20, which will be release soon, the font is Unicode.
