3d rotation with a 2d equation on the y-axis
I\'ve been looking through the help content and can\'t seem to find how to rotate the equation on the y-axis. I only see the equation rotated on the x-axis.
Is there a way to rotate the equation on the y-axis? can anyone help? thanks |

Re: 3d rotation with a 2d equation on the y-axis
Dear autographuser,
To do a volume of revolution about the y-axis: 1. Enter an equation of the form x = f(y) and select "Plot as 2D Equation" 2. Select the line and then the right-click option "Find Area" 3. Select the area and then the right-click option "Find Volume" Hope this helps, Simon |
