reflecting lines in lines
Hi
could you tell me how to reflect a line in any given line ...so for example I would like to reflect the line y=2x in the line y=3x thanks |

Hi stephp,
You cannot perform transformations on graphs in Autograph, only on shapes. So the workaround for your current example is: 1. Plot y = 2x 2. Add a point at, for example, x = -2 and x = 2 3. Select the two points and then right-click and select Group to Shape 4. Plot y = 3x 5. Select the shape you created and the graph y = 3x and then right-click and select Reflection The resulting reflection is of y = 2x between x = -2 and x = 2. You can move the points further apart to see more of the reflection, e.g. to x = -10 and x = 10. Hope this helps, Simon |
