Graphics card/driver not supporting DirectX 9.0
Since upgrading from version 3.0 to version 3.20, we have a problem on a number of our computers with 3D graphs.  The message we get is "There has been a problem opening a 3D Graph Page.  This could be due to your graphics card or driver not supporting DirectX 9.0.  Please refer to the documentation for help on updating your driver"

The machines are running DirectX9.0c on an Intel 82945G Express Chipset.  We have been unable to upgade the drivers for this chipset as neither the HP nor the Intel versions are compatible. The DirectX diagnostic tool gives a message "Direct3D functionality not available.  You should verify that the driver is a final version from the hardware manufacturer."

As I said, Hewlett Packard was unable to help us with this problem.  Can anyone help us at Autograph?

Re: Graphics card/driver not supporting DirectX 9.
This is almost certainly a driver or graphics card issue. This is confirmed by the fact that the DirectX diagnostic tool is stating that the Direct3D functionality is unavailable. Autograph requires the Direct3D functionality for it\'s 3D pages.

It\'s very strange that neither the Intel or HP (I assume the machine is an HP) seem to work.

Was this one of the drivers you tried?

Re: Graphics card/driver not supporting DirectX 9.
Hi Mark,
That\'s exactly where I started.  The error message that came back was

The driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the computer\'s manufacturer.

Setup will exit

I went to HP and downloaded their driver (The machine is an HP dc7600 small form factor) and that did not work either.  My technician contacted HP locally and they were not much help.  I\'m sure that Autograph is not using all the functionality given by DirectX 9 and would work as well at a lower level, but at the moment I am stuck.

Re: Graphics card/driver not supporting DirectX 9.
Try the following solution
Go to Display properties - Settings -- Advanced - Troubleshoot. Make sure the Hardware Acceleration is set to Full. This seemed to solve the problem for me. Good luck guys!!!
