printing 1 cm = 1
Is it possible that a graph is printed in such way that 1 on the x-axis and 1 on the y-axis is 1 centimeter exactly? May be in Word.
Without much trouble. |

Re: printing 1 cm = 1
Hi Pietepiet,
A very good idea! There is no way of doing this automatically at the moment but I would suggest the following: 1. Copy and paste a graph into Word. 2. Print. 3. Measure the space between gridlines, if 1cm then goto 4 otherwise adjust the size of the graph in Word and goto 2. 4. Save this file as size-for-1cm-gridlines.doc. (You only need to do that bit once!) Then when you want to create a graph with 1cm gridlines do the following: 1. Open size-for-1cm-gridlines.doc. 2. Copy and paste your graph from Autograph into Word. 3. Adjust the size of the new image so the gridlines are spaced the same way as the ones in the control image. 4. Delete the control image. 5. Print. I hope this makes sense. It would be nice to have an automatic way of doing something more accurate but this is actually very difficult because of the number of different printers and printer drivers out there. I will log it as a feature request. Best wishes, Simon |
