Range Restrictions?
Hello there,
I\'m wondering if there is any way to input Range Restrictions on equations in Autograph. I know how to restrict domain (Startup) but there doesn\'t appear to be a way to restrict range. For instance I need an equation with a restriction on Y so that: y E [25, 30] (Using cap. "e" here to represent the "contained in" sign) Any help is much appreciated... Feel free to email me at colin_strong@hotmail.com Thanks! (Running Autograph 3.2 on Windows Vista) |

Re: Range Restrictions?
I found a tool which allows me to solve for intersection points. Using this I can easily find what x coordinates will give me heights I need.
Domain and Range restriction should be made available every time one goes into Startup, rather than one or the other. Thanks for reading. |

Re: Range Restrictions?
Hi Colin,
Thanks for your question and for coming up with an answer to it. The Startup functionality as you have said does only control the domain of the function rather than the range. Depending on your particular expression you can write it in the form x = f(y) and then you have control of y in Startup. I will raise the idea of having both options with our development team. Kind regards, Simon |
