reply quickly! Exponential line of best fit
Hi,
I\'ve got a data set which i\'m pretty sure fits onto an exponential graph or a hyperbolic graph It\'s population data of a country, and I wish to fit it to a graph, only i\'m not sure how to make the best fit line one which is exponential/hyperbolic. The reason I need this is because i\'m fairly sure population growth isn\'t going to be a parabola, or for that matter dropping below zero, which is basically what I get when i go up to order 9 on the best fit binomial dialogue. ANY HELP would be GREATLY APPRECIATED ....and soon too haha this is due fairly soon. CHEERS

Re: reply quickly! Exponential line of best fit
Dear geCrank,
Try plotting an exponential function y = aexp(bx + c) + d and then use the constant controller to change the values of a, b, c and d to see if you can improve the fit. Then select the function and the dataset, right-click and choose Fit to Data. Best regards, Simon |
