Entering decimals in equations on Mac
Hi, one of my students is using Autograph for Mac. If she enters equations that include a decimal e.g. y=(0.2x)[sup][/sup]2then the graph doesn\'t plot.

If however she enters the equation as a fraction e.g. y=((2/10)x)[sup][/sup]2 then the graph does plot.

Not sure if this is a problem with her machine and decimal points / commas - it is European after all - or with Autograph for Mac?

Thanks in advance,

Charlotte

Re: Entering decimals in equations on Mac
Dear Charlotte,

Please can you try using a comma instead of the fullstop for the decimal symbol. i.e. y = (0,2x)^2

Or try changing the locale to English.

Best regards,

Simon
