Please fix the pen tool and make it better
Hi folks,
Always need to start by saying I love Autograph before I make a criticism. PLEASE make the pen tool more responsive - it's horrible folks, really bad. The pen is very unresponsive to my wacom pad - just atrocious refresh rate. The refresh rate is so bad I have to copy my graphs and bring them into Notateit to annotate the graph for my students. Also, I think we need to have various size tips for the pens, also a highlighter with a transparency setting and also definitely have the pen pressure sensitive. Making these changes would be a big boost to Autograph. I'm sure this change will pay off. All the best, Your Autograph friend, Libman(aka Greg) |

RE: Please fix the pen tool and make it better
Hi Libman,
Thanks for the feedback, we like the ideas for the new features but it is odd that it seems unresponsive with a Wacom tablet. Douglas Butler uses a Wacom tablet all the time with much success. Can you send some more details of your setup and we'll investigate. Best wishes, Simon |

RE: Please fix the pen tool and make it better
Hi SImon,
Not sure what statistics that I could give you. I'm working in windows 7. I am using a Toshiba laptop - high end. I am using a large Intuos Wacam tablet. The issue appears to be refresh rate. This problem only occurs in Autograph and no other program. As I write the script will not occur immediately or not at all. Wish there were more pen tip sizes as well as colors. And also a highlighter would be great. See some of the pen features in Open Sankore. All the best, Libman aka Greg From Maine Autograph is still one the best teaching tools that I have (09-02-2012 08:55 AM)Support Wrote: Hi Libman, |

RE: Please fix the pen tool and make it better
Hi Greg,
Have you had a chance to try the scribble tool on a different laptop or with a different tablet device? Could you please do a screen recording using jing to show us how the scribble is behaving? Best, Simon (09-02-2012 10:24 AM)libmanagain Wrote: Hi SImon, |

RE: Please fix the pen tool and make it better
I got my department to buy a few copies of Autograph but only one colleague uses it and he also has the same problem. It appears to be a refresh rate issue from what I can tell. My wacom can be used wirelessly or I can use it via USB. Also I have a small Wacom Bambo. The problem occurs with both tablets.
Yes, I can do a recording. I have Camtasia. Give me a half hour and I'll have something for you. Greg (09-02-2012 10:44 AM)Support Wrote: Hi Greg, Cant seem to attach an mp4. hmmmmm...
