RE: Newton-Raphson Iteration does not work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear geneisis,

There are two ways to create a Newton-Raphson iteration in Autograph. Either:

1. Select a y = f(x) graph, and use the right-click option Newton-Raphson Iteration to open a dialogue box which controls the iterations. The initial value x₀ is entered. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to change the iterations.

Or:

2. Select a point on a y = f(x) graph. Create iterations as above. You can then move the point about to vary the iteration.

If you need some more help please can you let me know what version of Autograph you are running? You can find out from the Help > About dialog.

Best regards,

Simon

I hate automated responses as they don't even answer the question. You cannot ******* select Newton Raphson on Version 3.3, I just want to know how. When you right click the graph or a point THERE IS NO POSSIBLE WAY TO SELECT NEWTON RAPHSON

RE: Newton-Raphson Iteration does not work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dear geneisis,

My response explained the two ways that you can create the Newton-Raphson Iteration in Autograph 3.3. If these methods do not work for you then something is clearly wrong. This is why I asked you to send details of which version you are running.

I am very happy to help but I do require more information in order to help you.

1. Please reply with the exact steps that you have taken, starting from a new 2D Graph Page.
2. Please tell me which version of Autograph you are running. (Help > About)
3. Please tell me which operating system you are on (Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Mac OS)
4. Please tell me which language you are running Autograph in.

I have recorded a video for you explaining how to do Newton-Raphson in Autograph http://screencast.com/t/4n3h8eGgvB. If you are doing anything different to the steps I explain in the video please let me know.

Simon
