Running Error - Faulting Application
Hi,
We installed Autograph 3.3 on our Windows 7 32bit base image and deployed out. However when we run it we get Autograph 3.3 has stopped working and needs to close. It comes with the splash screen before crashing and comes up as unlicensed, even though it has the .lic file in the correct location. I had an old Group Policy that i used to deploy successfully in the past that deploys... but that on these machines still has the same problem. In the event log i get the following message : Faulting application name: agraph.exe, version: 3.30.2.0, time stamp: 0x4c126ac1 Faulting module name: MSVCR80.dll, version: 8.0.50727.6195, time stamp: 0x4dcddbf3 Exception code: 0xc000000d Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks |

This needs to be done from within an administrator command prompt or it will fail. Kind Regards Stephen Whipp Technical Support Manager. |

RE: Running Error - Faulting Application
Hi,
Which Serial number [ Network/Single Computer at Institution(Not on Network) ] did you use for the activation? Did you allow Autograph to create the share or did you use an existing one? Can you try running regsvr32 on LicProtector270.dll found in C:\ProgramData. This needs to be done from within an administrator command prompt or it will fail. Kind Regards Stephen Whipp Technical Support Manager. [/quote] Regsvr didnt work.... Its a site licsense but its installed in single computer mode not as an network share. Not sure of serial will have to try and find... it was installed by a company who won our new network install contract as we moved into a new building. I managed to uninstall autograph. Then reinstall using my msi and it solved it on 1 computer but the next computer it came up as unlicsensed... but didn't crash it asked for reg details so i may have to go round and uninstall and do this all manually just to get it to work? |

(07-08-2012 11:53 AM)SAcademy Wrote: Hi, Hi, as you have used the Single Computer At Institution (Not on Network) Serial Number, you need to ensure you are using the copy of the licence file (Autograph3.3.10.lic) that was created on the machine where it was originally activated, otherwise the subsequent computers wont be able to access the licence file. The work flow is usually 1) Install Autograph onto a client 2) Activate this using your Single Computer at Institution (Not on Network) Serial Number 3) Use this as a source for your imaging process. 4) Install to subsequent clients For GPO installation of the MSI in this fashion (Or for single computer installations), step 3 should be replicated by copying the licence file from the first machine into the root of the installation package, replacing the 30-day licence that is present there, or alternatively and sometimes more reliable solution is to set up a start-up script to be run once on each machine and manually copy the licence file into C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Autograph 3 (XP) C:\ProgramData\Autograph 3 (Vista/W7) I hope this helps Stephen Whipp |
