Autograph and Citrix
Hi

I've installed Autograph 3.2 on a Citrix VDI in a box virtual desktop. When I try to run a 3D graph it comes up with the message "There has been a problem opening a 3D graph page. This could be due to your graphics card or driver not supporting directx 9.0. Please refer to the documentation..."

Is there any way to get this to work on a virtual desktop?

Thanks

RE: Autograph and Citrix
hi,

With version 3.2, this depends entirely on the services your Citrix system provides. There certainly are versions of Citrix available that do support 3D graphics according to what I have read online.

The most reliable strategy however would be to upgrade to Autograph 3.3 which provides software rendering of the 3D pages where hardware support is not available.

I hope this helps

RE: Autograph and Citrix
Hi

Thanks for this. Could you please advise what DirectX components are required by the 3D graphing in Autograph 3.2, (i.e. Directdraw, Direct 3D, AGP Texture). I have opened a support call with Citrix to enquire how we could make this work. If all else fails we will look to upgrade.

Thanks

RE: Autograph and Citrix
Hi there, I hope I'm okay posting in this thread as we're getting the same problem.

As soon as I try and open a 3D graph it will throw back the message 'There has been a problem opening a 3D graph page...' and then crash. I've tried setting the option to force software rendering, but now instead of getting the message, Autograph will just crash.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

RE: Autograph and Citrix
Hello

Usually setting "Force Software Rendering" is enough to get 3D working on thin client systems such as Citrix. I'm not quite sure what the problem is with your setup. Could you please send us a screenshot of the error message when it crashes and also any errors that are logged in Event Viewer? You can use our support@autograph-ma..... email address or post it here.

Best Regards
Mark
