Limits of an equation
Hi,

I was wondering how I can draw a graph only from one limit to the next, like y=x from x=2 to x=3??

What do i have to enter into the equation line?? If I do;

y=2,x,3

It just draws a line y=3

Thx

Re: Limits of an equation
Assuming you have Autograph 3, the way in which to add limits is to edit the equation\'s \'Startup Options\'. This can either be done from the toolbar or by clicking the \'Startup Options\' button in the equation entry dialog box.

In the Startup Options dialog box select \'Manual\' and enter 2 for x-start and 3 for x-finish. The graph will now only be plotted between 2 and 3.

The way in which you entered the equation (y=2,x,3) actually draws a piecewise equation. In other words it plots y=2 between certain limits, followed by y=x and then y=3. The limits for each of these is again set up in the Startup Options.

Hope this helps!
