Installation error 1713
Hello,

I am trying to install the version of autograph we just purchased (3.10) onto a teachers laptop.

Laptop Specs :

Windows XP Professional
P4 1.8 Ghz
240mb RAM
12.7GB HDD of which 7GB is free

I have been able to install this program with the default complete install settings to two identical laptops with no problems whatsoever, however, during the install on this particular one, it comes up with the error:

"Error 1713.Autograph 3 cannot install one of its required products. Contact your technical support group."

Can you help please?

edit: This also happens if I only install the main program and not the resources

Hi

I appologise for the inconvenience this has caused. It is a result of trying to install Flash and Shockwave onto your machine. The easiest way to resolve this issue is to download them from  Macromedias website. They can be found at http://www.macromedia.com/downloads/

Click to downloadboth the shockwave player and the flash player and then by clicking download now and following the onscreen instructions.

If this comes up with a permissons error then please contact us again for further assistance

Thankyou very much. This solved the problem.

All of our laptops have flash player installed so on this occasion it was the shockwave which was causing the problem.
