intersection of three planes
I need help with the topic of teaching intersection of planes. When I select three planes intersecting in a line the equation of a line does not appear. Whereas if I select only two of those equations and right click the equation of the line appears. The moment I select three planes the equation disappears and some point appears. By the way the equation of these planes are in an arithmetic sequence.

Re: intersection of three planes
Dear Prabhaiyer,
Autograph can calculate two types of plane intersection: 1. Select two planes, right-click and choose Line of Intersection 2. Select three planes, right-click and choose Intersection (this will calculate the point of intersection if there is one). Autograph does not calculate the line of intersections when three planes are selected because it is looking for a point of intersection (which is more common when three planes are involved). Instead it plots one of the points of intersection on the line of intersection. Hope that helps, Simon |
